Double Skillion Garage in Fernvale
We recently wrapped up this large double skillion garage on a corner block in Fernvale and we’re excited to share it with you. The owners needed a blend of functionality and visual appeal, as being on an elevated corner block the shed would be visible to passersby.
Our designers took their requirements on board and knocked it out the park. This impressive garage shed delivers space and style, making plenty of room for storage, work and play. It blends in beautifully with the corner block and in turn with the surrounding Fernvale suburb.

Fernvale Shed Standout Features
Head Turning Looks
Aesthetics were important on this project - it needed to catch people’s attention for the right reasons. The result is a real head turner. Clean lines, a modern roof pitch, a striking colour scheme - this is a bold structure that doesn’t go over the top. Just the right amount of presence!
COLORBOND® Cladding and Roof
We can always rely on COLORBOND® cladding and roofing to give our sheds that visual edge. Through them we can offer our clients a choice of 21 different colours, all inspired by the colours of Australia. On this shed we have the walls cladded in the Monument® hue, while the roof is in Shale Grey®. The combination is sublime from every angle, and being COLORBOND® we know these materials will hold up against the elements for decades to come.
Large Footprint
You’re looking at serious space here. The shed is 10.38 metres long, and the larger right bay is 6 metres wide and 5.5 metres high. The left-hand bay is 4 metres wide and stands at 4.4 metres high. There’s a lot of usable area in there for storing machinery, vehicles or tools, with room left over to tinker on weekend projects.
High Ceilings
The height really opens things up inside. That 5.5 metre peak gives you a sense of space you don’t often get in your typical backyard shed. You can easily fit taller equipment or even add a mezzanine level down the track if needed.
Skillion Roof
We love a skillion roof for its clean, modern look - there’s a reason they’re becoming more and more popular around Australia. This one adds visual appeal from the street, allows for excellent drainage and offers plenty of roof real estate for installing solar panels down the track.
Double Roller Doors
How good are those double rollers? Supplied by our friends at Steel-Line, they make access easy and really enhance the functionality of the shed. Their width gives incredible flexibility when it comes to storing, parking or moving machinery around. Getting into and out of the shed isn’t a hassle.
PA Door
The personal access door, made by Larnec, gives you quick, easy entry without having to open the big doors. It’s practical and secure, just like the rest of the build. We’re big fans of PA doors at Stockman - they’re an easy addition that gives exceptional value. You’ll use it more than you can imagine.
