A family-run custom shed business out of Highfields, Toowoomba. Since 2020 we’ve been designing and building tough Australian sheds across South East Queensland — refined by decades of combined trade experience, and finished by hand.
Two old mates, very different paths, one shed company.
Stockman Sheds was started in 2020 by Ryan Ollis and David Jonsson — Toowoomba locals who’ve known each other since school, riding motorbikes around the Darling Downs together as teenagers. Ryan came up through the trades. A qualified boilermaker, he ran a successful shed construction company in Toowoomba for 13 years and built thousands of sheds across the region. Dave took the design route — creative director and senior marketing roles at global brands across fashion, lifestyle and ecommerce.
After years of doing the hard work for other companies who were just selling kits, Ryan wanted to build the strongest, best-quality shed on the market — and run a business that properly looked after the trades. He brought Dave in to shape the brand, the systems and the customer side. Those two core beliefs still run the place: respect the trades who carry the heaviest load on every job, and go over and above for every customer to make sure the build is right.
Five years on, the business is family-run, QBCC-licensed (#15408423), and operates out of a Highfields HQ that doubles as a customer showroom. The wider team — designers, office crew and the same trusted builders and concreters on every job — handles each shed from first conversation through to handover. We’re massive believers in local Australian quality, so every Stockman shed is built from 100% Australian BlueScope Steel and COLORBOND® cladding. No cheap imports. Every shed is pre-engineered at our Toowoomba factory and built tough enough to wear what the Aussie sky throws at it.
