Three Bay Design
This barn follows the classic three bay layout, with a higher central section and two lower wings. It gives the owner options for how to use each area, whether that’s vehicles in the middle and workshops on the sides, or dividing the bays into storage, tools, and lifestyle space. That’s what we love about the American barn design - it comes with such impressive versatility!
Massive Size
With a shed, size brings great functionality. At 12.19 metres long, this shed has an impressive internal footprint. The middle bay spans 6 metres wide, while the left and right bays each measure 4.5 metres wide. That’s an enormous amount of covered space inside the shed, ideal for both storage and day-to-day use.
Exceptional Internal Height
The stepped roofline isn’t just for looks – it creates outstanding internal height. The middle bay rises to 4.5 metres, so it can accommodate tall vehicles or machinery. The side bays sit at 3.1 metres, giving plenty of clearance for cars, trailers, or stables. It’s the kind of shed you can add a mezzanine floor into later if you wanted, or expand your storage space with tall internal shelving.
BlueScope Steel Frame
Strength starts with the frame, and this one’s built with a BlueScope Steel structure. All Stockman Sheds are, because its the one raw material we’ve determined can really go the distance in the South East Queensland weather. Probably because its a local Australian product, tried and tested in local conditions.
Stronger Brackets
We’ve used heavy-duty brackets to lock it all together. It’s the small details like this that add years of strength and reliability to a shed of this size. On average, our sheds use 15–20% more steel than our competitors. This comes through in our brackets - they’re 6mm laser cut and made from hot-dipped galvanised steel right here in Australia. Not many of our competitors can match that.
Colorbond® Roof and Cladding
The barn is clad and roofed in Colorbond® steel. For this project, the walls were finished in Paperbark, the roof and ridge in Surfmist, and the barges and gutters in Night Sky. It’s a smart, clean colour scheme that makes the barn stand out while blending with the surrounds. Because it’s Colorbond®, we know its going to last!
Steel-Line Roller Doors
Access is straightforward thanks to Steel-Line roller doors. They’re smooth, secure, and built tough for constant use. There are two roller doors at the front of the shed and a third at the rear, providing multiple access points to make life easier for the shed owners.
PA Doors
Speaking of access points, the Personal Access Door (or PA door) at the rear of the gives quick and convenient entry. They’re sturdy, secure, and save lifting a roller door when you just need to pop in. For everyday comings and goings, a PA door is a good option!
Bradnams Windows
We use Bradnams windows in our shed builds, because they’re the one supplier who matches the quality of other components going into the build. They also offer us flexibility in the size and number of windows we can add to a shed, which is something we can pass on to our customers.
Space for Solar Panels
