This shed is a value-add to a well-presented suburban property, nicely blending a stylish look with strong functionality.
Dimensions
The big backyard accommodated the shed footprint nicely, leaving space in the garden to keep things from feeling cramped. The dimensions are:
7.5m wide x 7.51m long x 3m high
The floor plan is efficient and well-proportioned. There’s space for parking, storage and work - balance like that is important in a suburban Highfields property.
Monument® and Night Sky® Colour Combination
Colorbond® hits shed owners with the double whammy of being exceptionally durable and being available in 21 sublime colours. This shed owner chose Monument® for the roof and wall cladding, while the barges, gutters and roller door are finished in Night Sky®. The colour variation gives the shed a layered look that is bold without being too loud. It’s a two-tone combination that works.
Heavy-Duty Bracket Construction
At Stockman, we do our shed brackets properly. They’re 6mm thick, laser cut and hot-dipped in galvanised steel. A far cry from many of our competitors who opt for a 1.6mm zinc-plated bracket. These brackets add significant strength to the overall shed frame, ensuring it performs as one no matter what the weather throws its way.
Steel-Line Roller Door
A Steel-Line roller door in Night Sky® is the main access point, coming in at a generous 5.1 metres wide. That's wide enough to drive in a large 4WD, back in a trailer or move bulky equipment around. No awkward maneuvering, just clean entries and exits. Steel-Line builds roller doors that handle daily use reliably and smoothly - this one will definitely go the distance.
Left-Side Awning
A 1.2-metre awning runs off the left side of the shed, covering the PA door entry and creating a small sheltered zone alongside the building. This provides a bit of extra covered storage space for items like the barbecue pictured above, while also giving shelter to anybody accessing the shed through the PA door.
Larnec PA Door
The Larnec PA door in Night Sky® sits under the awning, giving easy foot access without touching the roller door. A personal access door is always one of those additions you use more than you thought. Aesthetically, this one seamlessly blends into the cladding in the photo, making for a unified look that works well. LArnec doors are solid and secure - we fit them on all our shed builds, whether they’re out on an acreage or farm or in the suburbs.
Sliding Window from Bradnams
A sliding window in Night Sky® brings natural light into the shed and lets air move through when you need it. Bradnams supply our windows, giving us flexibility in sizing and specification that we pass straight through to the customer. They’re a quality supplier, so you know you’re getting the best windows out there when you build with Stockman.
Foil Insulation
Full foil insulation lines the roof interior. In a Highfields summer, that makes a real difference to how comfortable the space is to work in. It also reduces condensation through winter, which protects whatever you're storing inside. On a shed this well-finished, insulation is a natural inclusion.
