Room for Work and Storage

One of the main priorities was space. The owner needed a shed that could handle everyday storage and secure parking. They still needed room to work around that, though. 

We build big sheds here at Stockman, so asking us to up the dimensions is never going to be a problem. We love the challenge! 

Our designers maximised the available space in the owners backyard, giving this residential shed a generous footprint. It has flexibility for parking vehicles, setting up benches, and storing gear without cramping the layout. Here are the dimensions: 

8 metres wide x 12.19 metres long x 3.2 metres high

The owner won’t have to choose between storage and workspace. There’s room for both.

Durable and Rugged Quality

Rock Solid Concrete Slab

A shed is only as strong as its foundation. Our concrete slabs are made with high-pressure concrete used in roads and bridges. It comes in at 32 MPa, way higher than the 20-25MPa most shed companies out there use. We also install edge beams around the perimeter, as well as piers under every column. Together with rebated edges, our slabs look great and are as tough as they come. 

BlueScope Steel Frame

BlueScope Steel is the ever-reliable local raw material we turn to for the bones of our sheds. Being an Australian steel, it's tried and tested in our local conditions. That’s why it's the steel of choice in the construction industry here - it’s proven to last. If it’s not a Bluescope Steel shed, it’s definitely not a Stockman. 

Colorbond® Cladding and Roof

The Colorbond® wall cladding and roof is another factor in the enduring strength of this shed. Colorbond® is owned by BlueScope Steel, meaning its another local Australian product designed to resist the harsh climate we have here. It resists corrosion and won’t chip, peel or fade, so this shed will be looking as good as it does now in the years to come. 

Easy Access for People and Vehicles

Convenience was another key goal. The shed had to be practical for both people walking in and vehicles rolling through.

PA Door

A Personal Access, or PA, door was installed for quick trips in and out. It’s sturdy, secure, and saves time when you don’t want to lift a roller door. For everyday use, it makes the shed far more user-friendly.

Roller Doors

There are two Steel-Line roller doors on this shed. One is at the front - your main access point for vehicles and machines. There’s a second roller door to the rear of the shed on the left hand side wall. This is a smart move as it opens up the rear of the shed to other uses, while also providing handy drive-in and drive-out functionality. 

Modern Looks

This shed isn’t just functional – it’s built to look sharp on the property.

Colour Scheme

Finished in a clean combination of COLORBOND® colours, the shed blends with the home and landscape while still standing out as a polished addition. Here are the tones the owner went with:

This is a sublime colour scheme that will turn heads while also complementing the main home on the property perfectly. 

Gable Roof
